Mulberry Institute and IH Sydney Training Services are combining our expertise to deliver a dual qualification for students passionate about starting a career in the hospitality industry. The 2-year course includes theoretical learning delivered at IH Bondi Campus and practical learning in state-of-the-art kitchens, and work placements provided through Mulberry Institute. Students will have the opportunity to combine the latest skills and knowledge required to become the next generation of culinary leaders.

Work Placement:

Every student must participate in a 400-hour work placement at an approved commercial kitchen. The successful completion of the work placement is required to obtain the qualification.

This course provides both theoretical and practical components to equip students with the latest skills needed to work as a chef or cook in a supervisory or team-leading role in the kitchen.
This qualification provides a pathway to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops or to run a small business in these sectors.

Take your career to the next level to lead and manage hotels, restaurants, and resorts. This course is designed to give students the skills to become a senior hospitality professional who possesses a wide range of managerial skills, to oversee hospitality operations. With this diploma, students will be equipped to work independently, supervise others, and make operational business decisions.

  • All students must be of the age of 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission to College.
  • Entry into this course requires an IELTS band score of 5.5 or equivalent in line with DIBP regulations.
  • Satisfactory completion of studies in the applicant’s home country equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification is required for entry into this course.
  • Mature age students will also be considered without the minimum education requirements but with relevant work experience within the chosen area of study and a demonstrated capacity to meet course requirements.
