Established in 1953 and currently operating in more than 50 countries, the International House World Organisation ( IHWO) is the oldest and largest network of independent language schools in the world. IHWO pioneered TESOL training in 1961 and is universally known for its ongoing expertise in the field.
The high calibre of our trainers, services, facilities and resources is assured through independent TESOL accreditation and auditing by the University of Cambridge, NEAS, ASQA and J-Shine (Japan).
We have formal articulation agreements with a number of universities where you can be granted credit/exemptions towards a degree. View the list of universities
Our courses are based on the latest professional research with an emphasis on real-life communication skills; developing speaking, writing, reading and listening skills while improving practical understanding of grammar, vocabulary and functional language. Classes are small, maximising individual attention and participation.
Our Teachers and Trainers
Our teachers and trainers come from diverse backgrounds. As a minimum, all teachers hold a university degree and accredited TESOL qualifications. Most importantly, all of our teachers and trainers are passionate about what they do – they love teaching and the English language! They are dynamic, dedicated and professional.
